At two and a half years old, Parker’s life changed forever. Following two weeks of extreme headaches, her parents knew something was wrong, so they took her to the local children’s hospital. In less than eight hours, the family was shocked to learn Parker had a brain tumor, and she was immediately rushed into invasive surgery. Over the next four and a half years, Parker underwent 23 surgeries followed by three rounds of chemotherapy. Now in 2017, Parker is entering middle school and celebrating five years cancer free.
